For a while I’ve thought it odd that we celebrate his death on Friday – I’ve heard some odd explanations that try to stretch that into three days, but yes, a Thursday or Wednesday death makes more sense to me.

I’ve been meaning to call up a rabbi that I know to see if the two sabbath theory makes sense – it seems to me it does, particularly, because a friend just mentioned that this year the dates line up, where apparently Passover is celebrated on the full moon? I obviously haven’t cared about the date enough to verify any of these theories, which is probably easy enough to do.

Jon, could you share with me the ISBN with each volume? When I went to Amazon, it was very hard to differentiate what used books were for sell. If I had some precise ISBN numbers I would know for sure what I was getting. Thanks again for checking in on my blog. Congratulations on your new baby, Faith.

I am about 2/3 of the way through the 2 volume biography of Hudson Taylor. It is quite inspiring to hear about his faith in a big God, and how God used him in the lives of many (when he was alive, and due to the biography, continuing on to today)

This story is adapted from Tim Hansel’s book entitled “Holy Sweat”. I remember reading it years ago and sharing it with kids on a bike trip. Thanks for bringing it back to my memory.

How true that is God’s giving and our receiving that results in Salvation! The biggest stumbling block is our pride and thinking that it is all about us instead of Him. The attitude of humble receiving as that of a child is what God desires. Thanks again for taking the time to share the Truth!

I am guilty also of using filter and colored lens in approaching life instead of applying faith and trusting God in every situation. My pride and knowledge often get in the way of love and humility that Christ exhibited during his life on earth as our example. Thanks Keith for sharing these things and your life. It is making more of a difference than you will ever know.
